I build the screens people run their business from, and the endpoints underneath them. Six years between a design file and a database, mostly on lending and retail products where a slow form costs somebody a sale. I ship in small pieces and measure what moved.

The Kanit theme: the name fills the screen in a heavy condensed face, a moving band carries the images, and the services land as large numbered rows.

I art-direct campaigns for brands that sell to Egyptians in Arabic. Ten years of covers, packaging and film, and a stubborn view that an Arabic layout built as a translation of an English one always looks like one. So I start with the Arabic and let the English follow.
Creation of detailed objects, characters, or environments tailored to specific client needs, ideal for games, products, and visualizations.
High-quality, photorealistic renders that showcase designs with custom lighting, textures, and materials to bring concepts to life.
Dynamic animations and motion graphics that add energy and storytelling to brands, products, and digital experiences.
Crafting cohesive visual identities -- from logos to full brand systems -- that communicate a clear and memorable presence.
Designing clean, modern, and conversion-focused websites with attention to layout, typography, and user experience.

Lead the visual side of six retained accounts across food, telecoms and one bank. Built the Arabic type system the agency now opens every brand with, instead of picking a Latin font and hoping the Arabic sits next to it.

What I Do
I bring the unexpected to brand and digital experiences. 14 years crafting top 1% interfaces, interactive WebGL, and scalable brand engineering.
Services
Portfolio & Case Studies
A curation of boundary-pushing client and proprietary works engineered for massive digital impact.
Full-viewport interactive WebGL experience breaking traditional agency design conventions.
Custom typography, design tokens, and modular brand assets engineered for scalable deployment.
Career Track
Five people, no account managers, and every project run by whoever designed it. We take six identities a year and say no to roughly thirty, which is the only reason the six are any good.
Ran a team of eleven across three retained accounts. Left when I noticed that the work I was proudest of had been made in spite of the process rather than because of it.
Two years preparing other people's files for print. Still the most useful training I have had — you learn fast what a design costs once it leaves the screen.

A dense, monospace portfolio with the projects and stack an interviewer will actually check, plus a matching ATS-safe CV in Arabic.
Backend Engineer
I build the parts of a product nobody sees until they break. Seven years on payment rails, queues and reporting systems — mostly Laravel and Postgres, lately a fair amount of Go. I am at my best when a team is trying to make something slow and fragile become fast and boring.
Photography
Gallery-led, priced services on the page, and testimonials from editors. The Arabic version reads right-to-left without a single broken line.
Documentary Photographer
Finance
Certifications sit beside the experience, and a second CV in the ATS layout exists for portals that reject anything with columns.
Financial Controller
Product design
Case-study cards carry the work; the CV keeps the same accent colour so the two read as one identity.
Product Designer
I design interfaces for products people use under pressure — dispatch screens, clinical intake, banking apps. Six years of shipping, and the work I am proudest of is usually the screen that got simpler rather than the one that got prettier.
Education
Arabic-first, with qualifications and achievements ahead of employment history — the order that matters in the sector.
Mathematics Teacher
Marketing
Outcome-led experience with numbers attached, and a two-column CV that fits eight years onto one page.
Growth Marketing Lead
I run acquisition for subscription products in Arabic-speaking markets. Eight years, four companies, and a firm view that most growth problems are retention problems wearing a disguise.
The portfolio and the CV on each row read from the same professional profile. Change a job title once and both update.
Each preview is the production component running on the server with live data — which is why the Arabic ones flip direction correctly.

Four screens instead of one, an upload step that survives a dropped connection on the metro, and a review page that names the exact paper still missing. Approval time went from six days to two.
Next.js, Laravel, PostgreSQL

Form components that get Arabic right by default: numerals, validation wording, phone masks, and a date picker whose arrows point the way the calendar actually moves. Open source; four teams adopted it without asking me.

Sends the reminder in the language the merchant signed up in, at the hour they usually open the app, and stops the second the payment lands. Late instalments dropped by a fifth in one quarter.
Laravel, Redis
Own the merchant side of a small-business lending app: the application form, the document upload, the repayment schedule. Split one long form into four screens that save as you go, and the drop-off between starting an application and submitting it fell from 61% to 24%.
example.comRebuilt the checkout of a forty-branch retail chain. Arabic was an afterthought in the old build; in the new one it is the default and English is the variant, which removed an entire class of layout bug.
Wrote internal dashboards for a payroll product, then spent most of my second year fixing what I wrote in the first.
Product Lead, Sanad Finance
Ahmed asks what the merchant is trying to do before he asks what the ticket says. Half our best decisions started as a question from him.

Own the settlement pipeline that reconciles roughly 90,000 transactions a day. Cut end-of-day reconciliation from four hours to eleven minutes by moving it off cron and onto a partitioned queue. Mentor two juniors.

I photograph people at work — fishermen at dawn, women running workshops out of their front rooms, families who have kept a shop alive for three generations. Nine years in, and I still think the best frame is the one taken after the subject forgets the camera is there.
6500.00 EGP
Up to four hours on location, one subject, 25 edited frames delivered within five days.
18000.00 EGP
Two shooting days, a written treatment beforehand, 60 edited frames and usage rights for twelve months.
“Nour comes back with the frame you did not think to ask for, and it is always the one that runs.”
— Hala Fathy, Editor, Mahrousa Magazine
Commissioned work for NGOs, magazines and brands across Egypt and Jordan. Two long-term series ongoing: coastal fishing communities, and family businesses older than the buildings they occupy.
Shot roughly forty features a year, from street reportage to studio portraits. Ran the photo desk for the last eight months.

Eleven years closing books for companies between 50 and 400 staff. I take month-end from a fortnight of chasing people to a five-day routine nobody dreads, and I write the controls that keep it that way after I leave the room.
Responsible for reporting across four subsidiaries and roughly 380 staff. Rebuilt the chart of accounts so consolidation stopped depending on one spreadsheet and one person's memory.
Owned payables and the annual audit pack. Brought the audit from six weeks of queries down to nine days by fixing documentation at source rather than at year end.

Twelve years teaching secondary mathematics, the last four as head of department. I care less about covering the syllabus than about the moment a student stops asking "will this be in the exam" and starts asking "why does that work".
Lead a department of nine. Rewrote the Year 10 scheme of work around problem sets instead of worked examples; pass rates rose and, more usefully, so did the number of students taking maths further.
Taught grades 9 to 12 and ran the weekly olympiad club. Two of my students reached the national round.
